Sat/Sun 16/17th December
This Saturday Ash was at the Norfolk Arena for the British
Outdoor Supercross Championship.
Ash won his heat to qualify for the final. In the final, Ash
fell off on the first bend caught up in traffic and was dead
last but he pushed hard and made his way back to the front
to take the win from Burton and Bixby.
The super final where MX2 were joined by MX1 Ash had a good
start and went on to take the win.
Sunday Ash was at Wilden Lane, he went out in practise dressed
as Father Xmas to cheer the on lookers, but then got down
to business to take 3 wins.
Next 2 weeks are holidays so there will not be any racing. |
Sat/Sun 9/10th December
On Saturday Ash was at King's Lynn for the ACU Outdoor Youth
supercross event which saw Ash take two wins to finish 1st
overall in his last youth race meeting.
Sunday he travelled on to Armthorpe where he had 2 races.
Ash won the 1st race but in the second race Ash washed out
on the first bend leaving everyone past. He raced back to
3rd but in the bad weather conditions did not have enough
time to catch 1st and 2nd (even though Ash was around 5 seconds
a lap faster).
Local boy Ashley Harland and Luke Burton took 1st an 2nd respectively
in the 2nd race so Ash had to settle for 2nd overall, behind
Harland. |
Sat 2nd December
This weekend As was in Norfolk on Saturday for the ACU outdoor
Supercross, all day was spent practising and the racing began
in the evening.
Ash went out in the 1st MX2 heat and took the win in front
of Bixby and Mason which took him straight through to the
main event.
Ash also went out in the MX1 qualifying heat and again took
the win from Paul Smith.
The MX2 final Ash started well and took the win, he sat out
the MX1 final to compete in the final combined race of MX1
and MX2, where he took the win from Delaney.
On Sunday Ash was at Wilden Lane and Race 1 looked like it
was going Carless' way when bad luck struck, his bike seized
leaving Ash to take the win. Ash won the next two races to
again take the overall.
Next weekend Ash will be at Norfolk Arena once more for the
Youth Outdoor Supercross, which will probably be Ashley's
final Youth race. |
