This weekend Ash was at Pontrilas for the final round of the Under 21's series.
Ash qualified 5th just 1.3 seconds behind 1st placed man Ray Rowson.
Race 1 and a good start saw Ash & Rowson battling for the lead but Ray pulled away and Ash had to settle for 2nd.
Race 2 Ash needed 5 points more than Kristian Whatley to move into 3rd place in the Championship. He had another reasonable start placing him in 4th behind Jamie Law, Alex Snow & Kristian Whatley, Ash passed Whatley but Rowson then passed Ash. On the final lap Ash caught and passed both Snow & Law to once again finish 2nd behind Rowson.
2nd overall at the weekend and gaining enough points to finish 3rd overall in the Championship behind Rowson & Law.
Sun 12th Aug
This weekend Ashwas at Brampton for the Maxxis British Championship.
Ash qualified 11th.
Race 1 Ash rode a brilliant race making his way up to 3rd place behind Mike Brown and Jason Dougan.
Race 2 Ash went down in the first corner as riders went down in front of him. He started last but one, but he got going making some good passes to finish in 11th.
Overall on the day Ash finished 6th giving him his best result ever in the Championship.
Championship standings Ash has moved up to 14th.
Sun 5th Aug
This weekend Ash rode in his 1st ever Grandprix at Namur, Belgium.
Free practice Ash was riding well and was in 25th place in timing.
Pre Qualifying practice Ash qualified 32nd and was placed in Race 2 Qualifier race.
Qualifying Race Ash was sitting in 12th place when he had a major crash on one of the big down hills, He was only grazed and bruised but the bike was bent about a bit so he had to pull in.
Last chance qualifying time practice Ash was 14th but with so many of the front runners in the last chance and even Carl Nunn being 1st reserve it was a difficult one to get through.
Although disappointed he didn't qualify Ash enjoyed the experience learning how it runs and watching the race and is looking forward to the next time, to prove he can qualify with the best riders.
Sun 15th July
This weekend Ash was at Dean Moor Motopark for the Under21's
Ash qualified 1st bettering Brad Anderson's leading time in the British Four Strokes qualification.
Race 1 and Ash had the holeshot but he was chased hard by Elliott Banks-Browne & Ray Rowson and had to settle for 3rd.
Race 2 Ash again had a good start with him and Rowson together at the first corner, Rowson had the edge but Ash was chasing on his pipe when after a couple of laps the bike stopped, leaving Ash to walk back to the pits.
Finishing 9th overall after the DNF but still leaving him 4th in the Championship.
Sun 8th July
Last weekend Ash was at Whitby for the Maxxis ACU British Championship.
Ash qualified 15th with a 3.7 second gap between him and the leader.
Race 1 Ash had a good start around 8th at the first turn, the bike in front slid, Ash tried to avoid it and went down, Ash's bike was caught up in the pile up and by the time all the bikes had ridden over it there was no exhaust left on the bike so Ash had to retire.
Race 2 and Ash again went down in exactly the same place but this time the bike survived and Although Ash started from dead last he pushed on and raced his way back to finish in 18th.
24th overall on the day and dropping down the series standings to 18th.
Sun 1st July
This weekend Ash was in Torrington for the Under 21's.
Ash qualified 1st just 1/2 a second in front of Ray Rowson.
Race 1 and a good start saw Ash finish 2nd behind Rowson.
Race 2 not such a good start and taking a long time to pass James Dodd, Ash finished in 6th place but it was enough to finish 3rd overall on joint points with Jamie Law in 2nd.
Overall remaining 4th in the Championship with the gap between Ash and Kristian Whatley reduced to just 8 points.
